Dr. Alexis Haynes

Biography

Dr. Alexis Sims Haynes is a behavioral health scientist, public health researcher, educator, and literary creator based in Houston. She leads grant development for behavioral health initiatives at Memorial Hermann Health System and teaches public health at Prairie View A&M University. A published scholar with a PhD in Behavioral Sciences and Health Promotion, she is also the founder of Lex With The Text (@lex_withthe_text), a literary platform amplifying Black and BIPOC authors through thoughtful book reviews, author conversations, & powerful storytelling.
